Jack Warner says he is backing Kamla Persad Bissessar for the post of Political Leader of the United National Congress.

Yesterday, Mr. Warner broke his silence and sent a letter to the Siparia MP giving her his support.

Mr. Warner sees Mrs. Persad Bissessar as a Prime Minister in Trinidad and Tobago.

In the letter he tells Mrs. Persad Bissessar he knows the country is ready to vote for its first female Prime Minister

He says with Mrs. Persad Bissessar announcing her candidacy, there is renewed hope in the land, as a credible leader has emerged

Mr. Warner says she is more than qualified to take the reins of leadership and he is behind her 100%

In addition Mr. Warner says over the past years the U.N.C. in parliament has become two benches of broken dreams and forlorn hopes

He believes Mrs. Persad Bissessar now has the chance to change that forever.

He says not one leader has emerged under the stewardship of Basdeo Panday.

Mr. Warner wants Mrs. Persad Bisessar to be the leader the U.N.C. and the country are presently crying for.

Mr. Warner’s close friend and colleague Ramesh Lawrence Maharaj is also in the race for Political Leader of the Party.

Winston “Gypsy” Peters is also backing Mrs. Persad Bissessar.

Winston Peters, Jack Warner and Ramesh Lawrence Maharaj were part of the Ramjack-G faction of the U.N.C.
